A note on connectivity: our WiFi runs on what locals call coconut wireless. It works well most days, but storms and barrier island life occasionally have other plans. We like to think of it as part of the charm — Wicker Inn has always been a place to unplug.
Periwinkle is named for the smallest bloom in the garden, and it wears the name well. This is the understated one, quiet and unhurried, arranged for guests who come to the island to do gloriously little.
A restful bedroom, a sitting room with a sleeper sofa, and a full kitchen cover the practical side of a week for two. The porch covers the rest: shade, a view over the gardens, and mornings that stretch well past the second coffee.
The pool and the beach are both a short walk, though Periwinkle has a way of convincing guests that the porch was the point all along.
