A note on connectivity: our WiFi runs on what locals call coconut wireless. It works well most days, but storms and barrier island life occasionally have other plans. We like to think of it as part of the charm — Wicker Inn has always been a place to unplug.
Hibiscus is the garden's brightest note, and the suite that carries its name has the same warmth about it. This is old Florida in full color: light through the windows, blooms at the porch rail, the day starting early and well.
Inside there is a restful bedroom, a sitting room with a sleeper sofa for a child or a guest, and a full kitchen so mornings begin on the porch rather than in a car. The pool is steps away, the beach a minute more.
Hibiscus suits guests who like their island vivid: a swim before breakfast, lunch in the shade, and a porch view that reminds you, every hour or so, exactly where you are.
